My cousin is a Naturopathic Physician in CT. Massachusetts is putting a bill forward that could allow physicians to practice this kind of medicine in our state.
It's really important that you all call Sal DiMasi's office: 617-722-2500 and ask him to bring Bill S.2820 to the floor for a vote.
Naturopathic Medicine is defined as: a complementary and alternative medicine which emphasizes the body's innate ability to heal and maintain itself. Naturopathic practice includes many different modalities and practitioners emphasize a holistic approach to patient care, and may recommend patients use conventional medicine alongside their treatments.
Here is a website about Naturopathic medicine: http://www.naturopathic.org/
here is a website about the bill: www.fsmb.org/pdf/Legislative_Services_Report_May_2007.pdf
It's pretty cool, actually. I hope we can have more Drs in our state practicing it at some point.
